LASTUNEN SCHOOL
Lastunen school is in a scenic village of Lastunen in Lempäälä. You can find many people from Lastunen school after schooltime, because there are often different clubs going on. The school is the center of the village. Near our school there are many fields and our neighbour has lambs. Pupils are learning a lot of nature and our immediate surroundings in school.
Lastunen school is over 90 years old. We have two teachers, two part-time teachers, two cook-cleaners (one at the time), two schooladvicers/ nurses and one school trainee and 54 pupils. The characteristics of our school is the ability to express ourselves in many different ways. It is most important to us. That´s why we develop our skills of expression with words, pictures, sounds, feelings and gestures. We have a very close co-operation between different grade levels and we constantly work with common projects. We also develop the information technology at our school and use it as a tool for teaching.
Our school is one of the smallest in Lempäälä, a so called TERRAARIO SCHOOL. We are co-operating closely with other small primary schools in Lempäälä, which include also Kelho, Kuokkala, Mattila, Nurmi and Säijä.
